Product Description
Developed by Laurent Minet from Belgium, the Zebrange pepper is a hybrid between the Aji Fantasy and Christmas Bell (also known as Bishop’s Crown). Its most distinctive feature is its striking appearance: as the peppers ripen, they turn orange with red stripes, resembling the Sugar Rush Stripey. With a heat level ranging from low to medium, similar to a mild Jalapeno, the Zebrange pepper boasts a sweet, fruity flavor with subtle tropical notes, reminiscent of Aji peppers. While it has not been officially tested, it is estimated to fall within the range of 5,000 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units.
Highly valued for both its ornamental appeal and culinary versatility, Zebrange peppers make a colorful and mildly spicy addition to salads, salsas, and pickled dishes. They can also be stuffed with cheese, meat, or other fillings. Beyond its culinary uses, the Zebrange pepper’s unique shape and vibrant colors have made it a favorite among gardeners who appreciate growing distinctive and eye-catching pepper varieties.
