The Shuhorn Longhorn pepper plant (F4) is a unique and visually striking variety created by Matt’s Peppers from a cross between Shu Variegated and Thunder Mountain Longhorn. Now in its fourth generation, this plant features variegated green and white foliage, making it as ornamental as it is productive. It produces long, slender pods with distinctive striping that grow upright, adding an eye-catching element to any garden. As this is still an early-stage cross, some variation may occur from plant to plant.
With a lineage known for heat and bold flavors, this pepper is well-suited for spice enthusiasts. The heat level is estimated to range between 10,000 to 50,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), depending on growing conditions. Whether grown in containers or garden beds, the Shuhorn Longhorn offers both aesthetic appeal and culinary versatility.
